Who's Raising Our Kids?

Strangers with Ring Lights...

ree

Let’s just call it what it is:

We’re letting TikTok raise our kids.

Not just TikTok, but Snapchat, YouTube Shorts, Twitch, Instagram Reels, and every other algorithm-crafted dopamine hit that hijacks their attention. While we’re stuck in traffic, checking emails, or simply worn out from surviving another long day, they’re being shaped, minute by minute, scroll by scroll, by strangers with ring lights and zero accountability.

This isn’t a rant about “kids these days.”

This is a wake-up call for men. Especially fathers, mentors, and role models.

Because if we’re not the ones teaching our boys how to be men, TikTok will.

If we’re not showing our girls how real men show up with respect, strength, and value,  TikTok will.

And TikTok doesn’t care about your kid’s character. It doesn’t care about integrity, discipline, or delayed gratification.

It cares about engagement.

Attention.

Virality.

And it’s winning.

What Are They Really Learning?

They’re learning that clout matters more than kindness.

That sex sells more than self-respect.

That attention is currency, and morality is optional.

They’re being told what beauty looks like.

What masculinity should sound like.

What’s funny, what’s cringe, what’s valuable, and what’s disposable.

We’re watching generations of young men being raised by influencers who’ve never changed a diaper, never paid a bill, and never held a real conversation that didn’t end in a swipe.

So What Do We Do?

We show up.

We have the hard talks.

We create safe spaces where truth isn’t filtered through a screen.

We become men who are worth watching, not for views, but for values.

Fathers, mentors, uncles, coaches, brothers...it’s on us.

We must be louder than the noise.

Stronger than the trends.

More consistent than the chaos.

MOST isn’t just a group. It’s a movement of men choosing to show up. For ourselves, for each other, and for the next generation.

Because the next generation is watching…

The only question is: who are they watching more; you or their For You Page?
